Gwen is a graduate intern in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with the Townsend Institute at Concordia University Irvine and works with adults, families, and adolescents aged 13 and older. She has over five years of experience working with diverse backgrounds in correctional centers, addiction centers, and patients experiencing co-occurring disorders, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and personality disorders in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Gwen uses a client-centered and trauma-informed approach, choosing unique therapeutic methods for each client. She is trained in addictions, cognitive-behavioral theories, family & marriage counseling, multicultural worldview, and emotionally focused theories. She integrates mindfulness, Gestalt, meditation, and journaling techniques into her sessions as well. She has completed Level 1 Gottman Method Couples Therapy and received certification in Seeking Safety and Finding Your Best Self.

Gwen is passionate about joining in the journey with her clients and helping them to find hope and healing in a safe therapeutic environment.
