Maria is a graduate clinician working towards her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Brigham Young University-Idaho in 2019. She still has a deep love for animals and hopes to incorporate animal assisted therapy in the future. She has work experience in short-term and long-term residential facilities for autistic adults as well as working with those struggling with addiction.

Maria works with individuals (ages 4+) and families. Maria helps clients work through a variety of concerns such as depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, autism, ADHD, relationship issues, grief, life transitions, and addictions.

Maria feels that rapport is key to the therapeutic process and wants every client that walks through her door to feel safe and validated. Maria believes in the wellness model and will regularly use cognitive behavioral therapy as a guide during her sessions. Ultimately, Maria wants to work with her clients to create individualized treatment that will help them reach their goals.
