Emma Ward graduates with her Master of Education in Counseling and Human Development, with specialization in clinical mental health counseling, from Lindsey Wilson University in August 2025. She has provided a variety of mental health services over the last 5 years that have included inpatient facilities, intensive in-home services, ABA pediatric clinics, and outpatient counseling. Emma is open to working with clients ages 14+, but specializes in working with adolescents and young adults with a clinical focus on trauma, anxiety, neurodiversity, life transitions, depression, relationships issues, and grief.

Treatment Approach

Emma’s approaches therapy through a holistic lens that emphasizes self-discovery and growth while also recognizing the complexity and uniqueness of each individual. As such, she tailors her treatment to each individual’s needs and brings her authentic self to create a supportive and inclusive environment that empowers clients to bring their most authentic selves too. Through a
collaborative process where clients take the lead, Emma works alongside her clients towards the life they want at a pace that feels safe to them.
Emma uses person-centered and humanistic therapy while integrating techniques from acceptance and commitment therapy, attachment-based therapy, and motivational interviewing. She also utilizes creative therapies such as play therapy, sandplay therapy, somatic therapy, and therapy through art. By providing LGBTQ+ affirming services and striving to implement cultural
competency, Emma hopes to assist all individuals to cope and heal through the challenges of life and working towards wellness.
