Rebecca Gaylor
Hello! My name is Rebecca Gaylor and I’m an intern in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master’s program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I’m thrilled to be a part of the Life Connections Counseling team!
I’ve been supporting clients in coaching and mentorship roles since 2016, which has inspired me to continue my education into the field of professional Counseling. My specialties include anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, phase of life issues, grief, and family dynamic concerns. Additionally, I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a variety of settings over the years.
My work with clients is built on a Client-Centered foundation with an integration of Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques. I am also trained in Child-Centered Play Therapy. I strive to practice from a place of cultural competency and humility, all while seeing my clients through a trauma-informed lens. I provide a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to develop better ways to cope with their present, heal from their past, and build hope for the future.
Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy spending time in nature, reading, and teaching therapeutic riding lessons. I would be honored to be trusted with your story.
