Hello! My name is Neil Stoltzfus, and I am an intern currently pursuing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. I graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2021 with my bachelor’s degree in Psychology. During my time at UTK, I worked as a researcher for the College of Nursing, mainly focusing on diabetes and breast cancer. My experience working with patients and their families strengthened my passion for mental health and my desire to work in the counseling profession.
My approach to counseling mainly incorporates client-centered, cognitive-behavioral, and solution-focused principles and techniques, but I tailor this approach according to what my client needs. I place a high priority on the therapeutic relationship in my practice. Accordingly, I strive to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for all my clients. Throughout the therapeutic process, you will be respected and valued for who you are as we collaborate on your goals for growth and mental well-being.
