Kelly is currently an intern working towards a licensure as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor.  Retired from a near 20-year career in law enforcement, Kelly passionately developed a desire to assist others, placing a particular focus on those suffering trauma or PTSD.  As a first responder in her law enforcement career, she regularly dealt with both traumatized individuals and those that suffer with PTSD.  Kelly stands ready and excited to assist those afflicted by placing them into healing path.  In addition, she is equally eager to serve families, couples, and adolescents who may just need some guidance or clarity in working through anxiety, depression, and/or grief.

In 2019, Kelly earned her BA in Education from Western Governors University.  She is currently pursuing her MA from Christian-based Liberty University and expects to graduate in 2022.

Kelly implements various styles of treatment ranging from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and mindfulness techniques.  Tailoring these techniques to each individual will provide each client a safe path towards healing.  Given Kelly’s own educational focus, she is well-equipped to incorporate a Christian focus in her client’s desire.

When Kelly isn’t researching, working or studying, she can be found baking, exercising or bonding with her youngest child.  She has a youthful love for the color pink, so much so she admits to wanting the family vehicle pink if only it didn’t meet with the resistance of her husband and sons.
