Claire is a Master’s level counselor working towards full licensure as a professional counselor (LPC-MHSP) specializing in the treatment of young children and their families. Claire has extensive experience working in community mental healthcare with cases ranging from substance abuse and adult trauma to adolescent anger management and at-risk youth while promoting and enhancing a client-centered and goal supportive environment. Through individual and family therapy, Claire treats issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment, self-esteem, and problematic child behaviors. As a part-time fitness instructor, Claire further emphasizes her passion for holistic healing focusing on the mind, body, and spirit.

Treatment Approach

Claire is an integrative, client-centered therapist. She believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship and strives to provide a warm, safe environment to assist clients in coping with life’s stressors. Through a Person-Centered (PCT) lens, Claire utilizes psychoeducation, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT); she is also working on becoming a certified PCIT (Parent-Child Interaction Therapy) therapist through PCIT International. Claire is an advocate for childhood interventions and pursues ongoing research and training in the field of mental health to ensure effective treatment for all clients.
